Reclaiming Space,
Together.

Meydan is a project that aims to analyze the legal, political, and administrative barriers to the freedom of peaceful assembly in Türkiye, while contributing to ongoing efforts to reclaim public spaces. The project is part of the work carried out by the Memory Center since 2018 in the field of defending human rights organizations and human rights defenders.
We created the visual identity for Meydan. The logomark was inspired by the protest banners carried during demonstrations and public gatherings. We deliberately avoided rigid geometric structures, instead creating an organic form with a fluid energy that resists containment. The visual assets and color palette were designed to reflect this spirit—encouraging solidarity, participation, and the collective pursuit of public space and freedom of assembly.
