BEVFAM – Bülent Eczacıbaşı Foundation Center for Photographic Studies is a research center established to preserve culturally significant and at-risk photographic archives in Türkiye. The centre also works to make the archive editorially visible again and accessible for researchers.

 

For BEVFAM, we designed the website as an extension of the visual identity created by BEK Design and Consultancy. While remaining faithful to the core brand values, our goal was to create a clean exhibition space for photographic selections and artists’ works, while ensuring a user-friendly experience for visitors.

 

The biggest challenge was placing photographs with different aspect ratios and unique original framings. Without altering the photographers’ compositions, we developed flexible solutions for areas such as carousels and galleries.

 

The project was delivered with a democratic and sustainability-focused design approach, supported by a CMS that allows the team to easily manage and update all content. We continue to provide maintenance support for the website.
