Who is MMU?
Marmara Municipalities Union provides administrative, financial and legal consultancy and training services to improve the capacities of local governments in areas such as environmental management, urbanisation, migration and social cohesion, regional diplomacy, local development, city technologies and innovation. They organise various events.
What did we do?
To ensure the sustainability of the visual identity of the Marmara Municipalities Union, we prepared the identity guides for the institution and its six affiliated centres. We redesigned the identity materials in this process while keeping the existing logo design and the underlying context. We prepared printed and digital designs from business cards to membership certificates, from badges to presentation templates. We also created report and book templates for their publications. We determined the rules of use for all of the designs. This resulted in a comprehensive 68-page MMU identity manual and applicable rules and guides for their six centres.
Why are there guidelines and rules?
MMU is an institution that organises dozens of organisations, workshops and training sessions annually and carries out joint activities with 45 municipalities in 11 provinces. Many employees, managers, stakeholders, designers and producers are involved in these events. Naturally, a single design team can’t create all of these materials. With brand guidelines, it is possible to preserve the basic rules and produce a consistent visual language across the entire brand.
