What is Farmolog?
Farmolog is an Izmir-based scale-up that develops digital products for the sustainability of small and medium-sized farming.
For farmers: Provides solutions for planning agricultural lands, activity management and income/expense recording over a mobile app.
For B2B factories operating with a contract farming model: Provides centralized management for everything from planting to fertilization, spraying to harvesting, field visits to training and more.
What is the problem?
Farmers' adaption enables digitalization in agriculture. Farmers, however, may face physical and mental challenges. The high average age, the cognitive burden imposed by applications, the difficulty in adapting to technology, and physical difficulties (such as visual impairments and hand tremors) can be seen as the primary causes.
Solution: Simple Flows, Bigger Assets, Fresh UI
We worked as part of the Farmolog product team throughout the process. We updated the flows by reviewing the feedback and benchmarks the team collected from the field. We added shortcuts that make priority tasks easier. We refreshed the Farmolog logo, fonts, colors and icons. We defined easy-to-understand layouts and designed the elements (fonts, icons, UI elements) in the interface design with a larger than average size. We designed an easy-to-read, easy-to-navigate interface.
The result is an application that minimizes cognitive load, does not cause anxiety and gives positive emotions.
